They were much older than the Egyptian pyramids, although perhaps not as impressive in terms of construction. A few weeks ago in Przyjezierze, archaeologist Łukasz Oliwkowski—also a councillor in Inowrocław—boasted about the discovery of a tomb belonging to the Funnelbeaker culture. The researcher points out that in the areas of Inowrocław and Mogilno counties, there are quite a few traces of this culture dating back around 6,000 years.

Oliwkowski was assisted in the discovery by modern technology which, by creating three-dimensional maps, indicated where something might be located underground. The tomb in Przyjezierze is approximately 90 meters long and 20 meters wide. Before degradation, it stood about 2 meters high. As for the stone casing, it can be assumed that it was either dismantled over the centuries for various purposes or is still hidden underground. It is precisely thanks to the casings made of massive boulders—and forests—that these prehistoric phenomena are still present, the researcher describes on social media.

According to Oliwkowski, there are around 15 objects of this type in Inowrocław County, some of which are preserved in good condition. In Mogilno County, by contrast, we can already speak of more than 50 such sites.
